Originally from the rural village of Llangadfan, Montgomeryshire, Lynwen is a bilingual, multi-disciplined creative who since graduating from Trinity University College, Carmarthen in 2010, has worked extensively as an Actor-Musician, Composer, Musical Director, and Facilitator across Wales and beyond. A firm believer in the arts’ ability to instigate meaningful change and bring joy to people’s lives, she’s drawn to projects where music is a key part of the storytelling, and where collaborative approaches are championed.
On stage, Lynwen has played an eclectic range of roles, and feels most at home in the regional theatres that are at the heart of our communities. As a Musical Director and Composer, she aims to create a safe and nurturing space where both her company and she can thrive and grow; an ethos that’s strongly influenced by her years of community engagement work, within which she strives to break down the barriers to quality artistic provision and make the arts accessible to as many people as possible.
When not working, Lynwen relishes the opportunity to explore the hills and beautiful nature spots near her home in Mold, Flintshire. She also enjoys practicing yoga, watching live music, and being at the beck and call of her little boy, Gwion, as well as her black and white cat, Siabod.

Yn wreiddiol o bentref gwledig Llangadfan, Sir Drefaldwyn, mae Lynwen yn grëawdwraig dwyieithog, aml-ddisgyblaethol sydd wedi gweithio’n helaeth fel Actor-Gerddor, Cyfansoddwr, Cyfarwyddwr Cerdd, a Hwylusydd ar draws Cymru a thu hwnt ers iddi raddio o Goleg Prifysgol y Drindod, Caerfyrddin yn 2010. Â hithau’n credu’n gryf yng ngallu’r celfyddydau i sbarduno newid ac i ddod â llawenydd i fywydau pobl, caiff ei hatynnu at brosiectau ble y mae cerddoriaeth yn ran allweddol o’r stori, a ble y caiff dulliau gwaith cydweithrediadol eu eirioli.
Ar lwyfan, mae Lynwen wedi chwarae ystod amrywiol o gymeriadau, ac mae’n teimlo fwyaf cartrefol yn y theatrau rhanbarthol sydd wrth galon ein cymunedau. Fel Cyfarwyddwraig Cerdd a Chyfansoddwraig, ei bwriad yw i greu gwagle diogel a chefnogol ble y gall ei chwmni a hithau ffynnu a thyfu; ethos sydd wedi’i ddylanwadu’n gryf gan ei blynyddoedd o waith ymgysylltu cymunedol, ble y mae hi’n ymdrechu i chwalu’r rhwystrau i ddarpariaeth artistig o safon a gwneud y celfyddydau yn hygyrch i bawb.
Pan nad yw hi’n gweithio, mae Lynwen wrth ei bodd yn crwydro’r bryniau a’r llecynnau natur prydferth sy’n gyfagos i’w chartref yn Yr Wyddgrug, Sir y Fflint. Mae hi hefyd yn mwynhau ymarfer ioga, gwylio cerddoriaeth fyw, a bod ar fympwy ei mab bach, Gwion, yn ogystal â’i chath du a gwyn, Siabod.
